At a glance
  • Tutoring: cancel ≥12 hours before start → credit back; <12 hours or no-show → credit used.
  • Teacher cancels: your credit is returned; we prefer a reschedule when both sides agree.
  • Programmes: no cash refund for missed days or casual mid-course withdrawal after start.
  • If GSC cancels a cohort: full refund or transfer to another cohort.
  • Catch-up: LMS materials; recording when available; paid tutoring hour.

1. One-on-one tutoring (Preply-style)

Tutoring is sold as session packs. Booking a slot uses one credit from the matching subject pack. Cancel or reschedule from GSC Portal (tutoring book screen).

Student or parent cancels

  • At least 12 hours before the session start: the appointment is cancelled and the session credit is returned to your pack.
  • Less than 12 hours before start, or no-show: the session is used — no credit is returned.

Teacher cancels

  • If your teacher (or GSC) cancels the session, the credit is returned to the learner’s pack.
  • When both sides agree, we prefer a reschedule to another open slot.

Reschedule

Reschedule means cancel + rebook under the same credit rules. If you cancel ≥12 hours out, credit returns and you can book another time. If you are inside the 12-hour window, cancelling does not return credit, so a “reschedule” would consume another credit if you book again.

By booking a tutoring session you agree to this policy (“By booking you agree to our cancellation policy”).

2. Courses and programmes (group cohort)

  • No cash refund for missed individual class days.
  • No cash refund for casual mid-course withdrawal after the programme has started.
  • If GSC cancels or fails to run the cohort, you receive a full refund or a transfer to another cohort (your choice among options we offer).

We do not invent ad-hoc cash-refund workflows beyond the toggles above.

3. Catch-up while still enrolled

If a learner misses a group live class but remains enrolled:

  • LMS materials remain available for the enrolment.
  • Class recording when we have one for that session.
  • Human help = a paid tutoring hour only (buy/use a tutoring credit).

There is no free remake of the group live class and no free office hours at launch.

4. Store orders (pending payment)

Unpaid store orders may be cancelled before payment completes via the account order tools. That is separate from tutoring session cancellation and programme refund rules above.

5. How to cancel tutoring

  1. Sign in to GSC Portal.
  2. Open Tutoring → Book / upcoming sessions.
  3. Choose Cancel (or Cancel & reschedule when eligible). The screen shows whether your credit will return based on the 12-hour rule.
